Traditional techniques were required in the making of these textiles. In the month of August and in celebration of Merdeka day, we look to the pride of our people - our traditional offerings and the beautiful creations of our forefathers!

1. Kain Pelangi is a multi-coloured textile which was produced using a running stitch sewing technique, or teritik with the ikat technique. Back in the day, it was mainly produced in Kelantan and Terengganu. Its creation is believed to have been inspired by the colourful Bandhani cloths of Jodhpur (Jaipur), India.
