Transform your ‘kam’ this CNY!

Orange is the new black every Chinese New Year! Not only do we end up hiding everything in dark monochrome tones, we’re also blessed with the sight of mandarin oranges everywhere we turn. Unfortunately, it’s just not possible to eat all that you get, so here are some ways you can turn your ‘kam’ into other things – equally prosperous, and not likely to give you a heaty sore throat.

Dried peels for desserts
Carve up your leftover mandarin oranges, trying your level best to keep the peels intact. Then pierce them through with needle and thread and hang them to dry in the sun! They’ll add a lot of flavour to your red bean soup desserts, so use them when you need.
